I just realized that I had yet to properly introduce myself, how rude....... Not sure if this is the proper forum but I didn't see a "newbie/intro" area (or maybe I am blind???)
Anyway -- my name is Mandi (grew up being called M.J.) and I am an aquari-holic. Luckily for me I managed to find a similarly afflicted man to marry so at least I have a mate who is understanding of the constant need to spend more $$ on the fish, lol. I got my first tank when I was 9 (won't go into how many years ago that was - a lady doesn't discuss her age, lol) and have had one (usually more like 3 or 4) ever since. At the moment our family calls the little known 51st state of the union, Kentuckiana, our "home" (we are actually on the Indiana side of the river ). The "family" consists of me, my husband, 2 kids (Katy is 8 and Jake is 4), 5 cats, 1 dog, 3 ducks, 2 fiddler crabs, 2 gerbils and a BUNCH of fish (3 tanks set-up at the moment, 2 pending set-up and a HUGE pond/mini-lake in the front yard). Hubby is a US Marine and I am a Work-from-home mom/wife......we are both originally from the great Northwest (ID & OR). In addition to the fish addiction I enjoy baking/cake decorating, scrapbooking, sewing and just spending time with my family enjoying the wonderful outdoors (we are fortunate enough to be living out in the country where we are more likely to be visited by deer than door-to-door salesmen).
Anyway - I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I have spent here already and am so glad to have found this site........
