rough conversion, about $400 AUD for Jerry and myself.

Mainly on a Vacuum cleaner, as the other one was not sucking up the cat hair, and the house was getting very furry. My mother is a neat freak, so she was quite determined that i should have an easy to us appliance. Unfortunately, ones that suck cat hair are expensive.

I also recieved some chocolates and a garden broom. Jerry bought be a spectacular cookbook.I bought him a hammock

We did up and gave my younger brother a computer we no longer use.

We made a lot of gifts this year as we are reasonably short on cash, but all that we made have so far been appreciated

I usaually get one big B'day/Christmas present.

This year my present was about $345AUD, i don't know that in US but i'm sure it's in the $150-$500 range.

EDIT: I found out that it's worth $265USD

I'd say just over $50.

Usually we do a big gift and some small things, last year it was my 29g kit. Because of money (lack of ) we decided to cut back this year.

All I wanted was a card and I didn't even get that

I'd say about $400 also.

My gifts were all small in nature. Really I didn't want anything. Actually the only thing I asked for I got, one of those Home Brewery Micro Beer things.

Oh and some more turtles..

*cough*don't ask*cough*

Okay, in order to get a better understanding of this gift getting thing that it seems everyone else does, I want to know how much you recieved (approx) this year in gifts.
Do you get 1 big present and alot of little ones or just lots of little ones ect....oh and sorry, but I have to have it in US$...other wise I'll be even more confused :%)....and yes I know my breakdown isn't even or scientific .

Since I have most everything, wish list was small this year. Of course the princess made out like a bandit.

i don't go christmas either, i've been yelled and screamed at enough just working in retail for me to be completely over the whole thing.

retail just sucks the life out of any gift-giving occasion.

My parents gave a midwife training kit to a charity in Cambodia on my behalf. That cost $25 NZ... I don't know how much in $US (maybe around $20).

My Sis gave me a beautiful necklace that she made out of shells she'd collected from the beach, hemp string and dried beans. Sounds weird but it's lovely - I'll have to post a pic when I get home.

Santa gave me a sock full of dried fruit and nuts and a can of vanilla coke. I returned the coke to Santa and he seemed to enjoy it (although it made his reindeer burp). I left the fruit and nuts sitting around and someone ate all the cashews. Those reindeer really need to learn table manners.
