I have to say that some of the best games are on the older systems. And if you like the Halo games, you have to get an Xbox 360 and Halo 3, luckily a friend lent me his. That game is amazing. |

I will also agree that almost all of my favorites are on the older systems. But there is still nothing like drunken Halo or Guitar Hero. What does that mean, Bob? "Till the cows come home." Where have the cows been? |

Although I have enjoyed (and mostly badly lost) a few games of Halo 2 with friends, especially this spring when school was cancelled because it snowed so much. I miss Indiana, where it actually does snow! ><> |

poisonwaffle Mega Fish Posts: 1397 Kudos: 591 Registered: 11-Feb-2003 | PC FTW!!! I've got a gaming rig (Old 2.53GHz P4 and an nVidia 6600) and a gaming laptop (Dell D820 with a C2D T5500 and an overclocked nVidia Quadro NVS 110 GPU). PC's have superior graphics (at least superior graphics are possible, albeit expensive), superior inputs (my Logitech G7 runs at 2000dpi and can track at speeds up to 65' per second), superior upgradability (buy one high end graphics card, when it goes out of date, buy another and do SLi or crossfire), and in some cases superior portability. You can't tell me that you can take your console on a road trip and kill time by playing a decent game (Doom 3, Quake 4, HL2, CSS, FEAR, STALKER, BF2, Bioshock, etc, etc) at maxed settings in high def for a few hours with no problems at all. You can't sit in the commons area at school (between classes or something), or at a park, or on your deck, or in your bathroom (yes, I have done it!) and play games on a console. And better yet, you can use a computer for other things, too! You can actually use them to be productive (if you want to)! Do your homework on it, surf the web, stay up all night on chatrooms or watching videos on youtube. Sure, there are a few titles you can't get on PC's (Halo 2 was one of them, dunno 'bout Halo 3, Guitar Hero, etc, etc), but there are some titles you can't get on other systems. For a while, FEAR was only available on PC (until PS3 came out), Crysis is going to be only for the PC, and there are a good number of others. Anyway, I'm done ranting. PC's FTW!!! |

And a Wii on order ------------------------------------------------- I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium.
