Hi all,

Good to see some familiar faces still around the traps.

Well after quite a few years of not keeping fish, I have just bought a 175 Gallon tank.

I will be putting a pair of Madagascar Cichlids.

I will be asking plenty of questions around the place, as I need to refresh my mind on the whole fish keeping thing.

Adam the place is looking good....sounds like you guys have moved away from the North Side???

Great to be back!

Hey good to see you. It's hard to resist the calling of the fish, eh?

Back for your yearly visit, eh?

Glad to hear about the new tank. There's nothing like that to get one reinvigorated in a great hobby.

Guys thanks for the kind words.

Shini, you are right, it is hard to resist the calling of the fish!

JP, I always come back this time of year, as I am on holidays! I will be around a little more this time though! Fingers crossed.

Mez, good to see you.....another one of the oldies....seems you have more reptiles than fish now adays??

Fallout, Happy Birthday! Good to see you still in love with the Chev's.

Babel, sorry to hear that you and Adam are being forced to move.....that sucks. I hope that you are both well?? Last time I was here, you were still trying to get to Australia from USA....visa problems.

Good to see you both settled in Aus. Say hi to Adam for me!

Well I have stained the cabinet and set the tank up in the living room....next job....cycle the tank.....I hate this part....

Hi Guys,

These are the Madagascar Cichlids that will be going in my new tank. They are in a holding tank at the moment. The male has coloured up much more since I took that photo.

Tank is set up and cycling.

Nice specimens indeed. That's one of the few cichlids species that I'd consider owning, for no particular reason other than they look so sweet.

Madagascar Cichlids always reminded me of freshwater Marine Bettas...

hi Callatya and Matt!

Good to see you guys again.

Well I have now set the new tank up, seeded by using filter, water, gravel from another tank that has been running for ages.

I have placed a handful of smaller fish in there, lets see how the cycle goes!

Hopefully will have it right in the next couple of weeks, to place the big guys in!

Wow....good guess....no one ever gets the breed right! Most haven't even heard of a Shiba Inu.

You know your dogs!
