You're lucky! Around here a lot of the time our high is about 45 degrees, and during the night it gets like 20 degrees. But then again, I live on a big hill in the middle of nowhere...

The shirts come like that unfortunately. I am glad its ON both shoulders, not drooping off one. thats an ikky look.

I probably wouldn't wear the top, or if i did, it would be with a shoestring singlet underneath.
I have saggy shoulders though.

I do know the problems in this area, a friend of my brother's (15) caught a bus to the next state to meet a 35 yo man she met on the internet, it had the entire community in a tizz, we had no idea what had happenned, if she was dead or alive. Police found her 4 days later. Alive.
We haven't seen her since though.


I suppose i'm just hesitant to blame these problems on fabric and fashion.

Sooo, the question then becomes do you give up the top, the bra, or wear something uncomfortable?

I would venture a guess that the top could be worn (at least before it was stretched) without having to pull the neckline down over the shoulders, therefore exposing anything.

I personally think that she can pull off the look without looking cheap (although i am aware that wasn't quite what you are getting at).

At 13 years old there should be no "pulling off the look". At 13 it looks disturbing, not cheap.

Yes, she looks older, but if anyone tries anything on, she could quite easily gnaw their legs off with her lovely straight chomper

I know you have heard of the horror stories of young girls in this instance "biting off more than they can chew".

I own 3. I don't have much need for them, and they are highly uncomfy for the most part.


If Janna requires a bra, and some girls feel more comfy in them, then i'm glad she is wearing one.

With that particular top (which shows off her shoulders nicely i might add, no rounded slouchhing for this lassie!)you would have to wear a strapless bra, or a stick on bra, or those stupid plastic invisible straps.
All are awkward, and not as comfortable as a standard bra.

That's a great attitude, I wish I could think the same way about mine... I always tell myself they're just the result of too little sleep, but I'm afraid they're quite permanent now.

Janna, you're only 13!? I wouldn't have given you 20 years, but estimated you around 16 or so... I just cant seem to guess any girls age right. I don't even dare to put an age on Ferret now, I always thought you and Ferret were of the same age, so around 16, but now I will just let it go at "teenager"

Tammy, don't worry, there are those of us out there that are just as old fashioned as you are. Let me take a moment to frown upon the seductive nature of teenage fashion. I also have to say that the trend in society to sexualize children at such an age is also quite disturbing and disgusting... Not a good subject to get me started on, I am a die-hard feminist so I could go on for years.

I just wanted to point out that Janna is a very pretty girl (braces or no braces) and doesn't need to portray a certain image to show it, especially at 13.

Actually, everyone liked me as a blonde. I was in another play this year, and I had to wear this blonde wig since 1900's hairstyles for adults are a pain to work with. Everyone thought I looked great as a blonde, and all the little kids that came to see the show like it. One little girl ran up to me, said "You're really pretty" and then ran back into the crowd. Another thought I looked like I was 20 *raises eyebrow*. When we did our first dress rehearsal with the costumes and wigs and all that, this other adult from the cast got mad at me afterwards because I hadn't told him beforehand that I would be wearing a wig. He said he was about to crack up on stage ]. So anyways, I COULD be a blonde.... but it would be a shame to color my hair.
