	I'm a rat keeper (again)!

This is kind of unusual, as we normally only carry mice and crickets (did I mention this is a fish and reptile store?). Well, inside the Kritter Keeper they were being kept in, I saw the cutest little rat in the world! I knew right then and there I had to get her. Now you might be thinking that I was acting stupid and not doing any research before buying a new pet, but I am very experienced with rats. I have kept them most of my life, and I still had all the cages and stuff. Also, since I keep rabbits as well, I had a bunch of water bottles and shavings. I had basically everything I needed to care for the rat (except the food, which I bought a bit later), so why not buy her? Needless to say, my mom wasn't too happy about it. She's gotten over it already though, as she will not be the one caring for it. I will pay for the food and clean out the cage and everything, so she has no reason to be mad. I have had several rats as well, and I personally think they are one of the very best small animals you can keep as a pet. That is a particularly cute girl though! Let us know when you choose a name for her! Congrats on your new baby girl!

Another rat lover!! ) Great find And that is exactly the reason (Okay ... a reason ... ) I am no longer working at the pet/feed store I was working at ... too many cute baby ratties ... That was sure a cute cuddly little rat (the one I held was only about the size of a full-grown mouse)... wish I could have had rats but my mom said no. :' ><>
