I got the sims 2 last week, like the first day it came out. ANyways, it worked and i played it and everything, and then our computer got a virus and we had to delete EVERYTHING that was in our computer. So, I installed the sims 2 again and now i cant play it. When i click on it to play it this comes up:
Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate.

We called our internet service to see if they knew what to do and they told us to go to microsoft.com and install DirectX 9.0 and that when we cleared everything off our computer that we deleted our directx 9.0. so we went there and installed it, which took over an hour. And when we try to play it, this STILL comes up. Can someone help me?? I dont know what to do. Thank you!

Also, when i go to the page that says the requirements and what i need to run the game on my computer, on one of them it says Display memory and then under your system is says 0.0 and then theres a red X by it and when i put my cursor on it, it says that this component does not meet the requirements needed to run this game. and then under game requirements it says 32.0?? I dont get it.

WHen you gotyour computer did it come with any start up disks with windows stuff on them since you wiped your drive i would try installing them if you havent already. also i would think that sims2 would have whatever you needed on the disk or perhaps another sims does you could try it from there
