I'm trying to install Photoshop on the computer I'm using now because mine is out of service right now, and I keep getting some kind of error window when I open the setup program.

Does anyone know what this means and/or how I can go about creating this temporary file it says it needs? Thanks for any help with this.

Have you got the 500mb+ free of disk space that photoshop requires?
And also all the memory?
If so open "Run" and load that directory that the error messages gave you. if all the other stuff is there try to create the path yourself. Before doing this clear your cookies and file history etc. Turn Firewalls and Virus scans off.

I think this is a very basic version of Photoshop, because my brother gave it to me for free a few years ago, so I'm pretty sure it's well under 500mb in size. It's called Photoshop LE and is was copyrighted in 1999, but it's more than adequate for what I use it for (just cropping/resizing images and photoshopping for fun sometimes).

What do I do when I open "Run" and get to this?

I tried installing another program and it did the exact same thing. I don't think it is a disk space issue, as this is my mom's computer and she doesn't really know how to use it, so there aren't too many files or programs on here.

On the bright side, I found some crappy photo-editing software already on the computer that may suffice for the time being.

Oh wait, I already installed Photoshop on this computer last year. It wasn't located in the Start menu for some reason.

Well, I guess that solves that.
