cdnAndrew Small Fry Posts: 4 Kudos: 5 Votes: 0 Registered: 21-Jun-2007 | Hi everyone! My name's Andrew, I'm 23, and new to this hobby. I had a 5gallon tank when I was much younger, was devastated when I killed all my fish (I was told to do a water change... didn't know I couldn't change 'all' the water... oops!). Recently, I decided to get back into it, did a lot of researching on the web to learn about everything I could and purchased a 29 gallon Sedona tank kit, and some other necessities to get going. I used a lot of information from this site, and benefited greatly from your advice! Below are some attached pictures so y'all can see what I've got going. My tank, cycling (fishless). There's a surge protector and such on it now, that splitter was just a temporary solution to get up and running http://www.flickr.com/photos/8284783@N06/495552810/ A more recent shot of my tank, after adding some more live plants. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8284783@N06/742664387/ A shot of my Serpae. Possibly "Alex Trebek" although I haven't quite been able to tell them apart yet! http://www.flickr.com/photos/8284783@N06/742664367/ Stock: 6x Serpae Tetras 5x Albino Corydoras (had 6, but lost one after only a few days; the rest seem to be doing well) Planned additions Angel Bolivian Ram Alright, well, my 'quick' introduction has already ran on long enough! Whereabouts in Canada you at? Beautiful country. Looking at the pic of your fish, it looks like a Red Phantom tetra, but Im biassed, they are very similar to the Serpaes, Von Rio and Harold Shultz tetras. We'll be looking forward to seeing more of your great tank. Good Luck on your second time around, James |

Yeah Red, I thought the mouth on that serpae looked different than it ought too, so I was thinking red phantom also? But I don't really know one from another, so if Andrew knows that they are serpae's, then I guess they are. |

cdnAndrew Small Fry Posts: 4 Kudos: 5 Votes: 0 Registered: 21-Jun-2007 | well lets put it this way, then.. the fish store sold me Serpae tetras (thats what the label said), however I'm not attempting to claim a higher level of knowledge then you guys =). I'd like to think my LFS knew what they were doing, though! Andrew |

I'm most likely wrong but only meant to give an opinion. Wish you the best in your experience and I'm sure all at FP will be glad to help you in what you may need. Sincerely, James |
