Impressive AndyCLS!....although I'm still old school when it comes to carving pumpkins.....Here's last years quick carving, by the time I do this years it'll already be over for the other side of the world

Hilarious blondie! There was always a house in the neighborhood that my parents lived @that had a wrap around porch and they decorate the whole thing with cobwebs, music, the whole thing...and not tackily either....and of course they made you walk the whole lenght of the porch then you could have you fortune read by the gypsy or just get some candy it was great then two houses further...and jason would always follow you around the house ...never did anything like jump out from behind the bushes or anything but there was just something creepy about being followed by a silent mask after covering the whole neighborhood

*adopts little siblings so she can go trick or treating*

Yeah! We got 43 kids that came by last night!

AND I managed to scare at least one 5-year-old who started crying when he saw my pumpkin.

We didn't get any here either, Cally (We rarely do actually)... Even though we had the little pumpkins burning showing it was a 'Ween friendly property...

Most years we have Grandma and Grandpa sitting next to each other, for some reason this year my bro did a "twist" on it and just set up Grandpa holding Grandma's head lol

Well, Sheila and I did the trick or treating thing at Ellen's while Leslie (pugperson) handed out candy...not too many people handing out candy, and not too many kids out getting candy...I'm blaming the weather (it's raining off and on) and the fact that it is a Sunday night...She did a pretty good haul of candy considering, and was upset that we wouldn't allow her to eat it all...now she is safely tucked away in bed...The last words I got from her as I got her out of the car was a very slurry/sleepy "Carry Me" and she was out again...so there will be pixie dust in the bed, and she'll be wearing most of it to daycare tomorrow, oh well...
Hope everyone else had fun...

And Dextrose, is Grandma, holding Grandpa's head? I love it!!! Leslie said it was hidious...

Love ya'll and happy halloween!!!

did anyone in Aus actually get any kids coming round?

My mother did, and she sent them away with some choice Aussie words about keeping our culture... which i think is a little harsh, its not like halloween at this time of year in Aus means anything other than masks, pumpkins and candy.

I think Pug and I should carve the watermelon on her table...how long till a watermelon goes to mush inside?
Anyways I don't think I've ever carved a pumpkin...but those are awsome...Heidi

Got to love the traditional styles, Babel

Think my brother is leaving his till the last minute too, he still hasn't started to put up all his other stuff either, and he's going out partying tonight so it wont get done till tomorrow lol

Either way be sure to give us a peek at this year's when it's done, even if it's post-ween on this side of the world

Carved this one up tonight. Took me 3 hours!! :%)

But overall I think it was worth it.

By far the most complex pumpkin carving that I've ever done. It's amazing what a little time, a free pumpkin, and a $2.99 pumpkin carving tools & pattern kit will do.

Babel - I'm so predictable I do the same basic face every year on the bright side I'm getting good at it now (well, at least faster) lol

OMG Blondie! LOL You're a shocker "That doll is evil I tells ya, EVIIILLLLL!!!" "Grandpa, you said that about all the presents."

Theresa - New toys are fun I've set that pic as my wallpaper until after the weekend lol

Only just realized how fitting the cat-faced one was for Superlion (yes, yes I am slow)

Saw some pics online a few weeks back of some insanely carved ones - REALLY intricate designs If only I was more patient and had steadier hands (anyone after an inexpensive brain surgeon?)

One more day (mmmmmm candy)

Dex

Thanks Babelfish, she even has fish net stockings!
Dextroze, one year I set up my dummy and it got in the newspaper and everything. Lots of people were talking about it and comeing over to see it. Then on Halloween I took my dummies outfit and put it on and sat in his chair. Oh my goodness! Did I ever have fun! People didn't think to much about it when it moved a hand of foot, but when it stood up!!!! I'm not really ebil. Giggles!

Blondie, have to love the dummies, will try and get some pics on Sunday of my brother's

LOL Babel, last year I let mine sit too long... went to move it and the bottom dropped off, spilling "funny smelling water" everywhere... that stuff is EVIL

OK, finally done after many interruptions during the night:

Voila!

Dang, I'm hyped for Sunday lol

Cute blondie !.

rotten pumpkin smell oddly enough I had one left on my kitchen pass thru for @least 5 months before it went mushy (I'd gotten 2 but only carved one last year...funny, I was just thinking of those pics )....and it didn't even smell :%). Of course the jack-O-lantern did go mush within a day, day after halloween last year was aroun 85 !.

We're watchign movies and carving pumpkins on halloween, a little late, but well.....work got in the way again this year.
