Mez Ultimate Fish Guru Asian Hardfeather Enthusiast Posts: 3300 Votes: 162 Registered: 23-Feb-2001 | Well, as some of you know i decided to relocate the restaurant to a more suited premises...well that may not happen now, because i am yet to find a suitable location and have been offered a job in the LFS (mainly marine and tropical with a sideline of reptiles) which i have taken. I start today (in one hour) and am quite looking forward to working there, my job will be head of tropical and reptiles i believe, and i get to care for the pygmy goats, too. First job is to de-mite an iguana that a customer brough in that isnt very well at all. Then i gotta learn how to bag fish up, over here we dont use any elastic bands at all and i find it really difficult! Oh well, wish me luck! |

Thankfully we don't deal in reptiles and furry critters. I wouldn't know what to do with a pygmy goat. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

I've been to some LFSs with reptiles, and one with birds (although the one with birds unfortunately doesn't take very good care of them), but goats are something else. I work with pygmy goats at the zoo They're pretty cute. They're pretty clever too. And easily trained with a clicker like you would a dog. ><> |

Ours are fat too. I'm not familiar with black mountain sheep. Are they one of the hair sheep? We have Barbados blackbelly at the zoo (well five of the six are half Barbardos crossed with something else). ><> |

De-horning has to be done before the goat's horns grow in, because there's too much blood flow through the horns. ><> |
