Well I'm 15 and got into the hobby when I was in 6th grade, first from a science fair project, and then I just developed MTS...It's weird how it happens so quick. My parents love it b/c theres tons of other things I could be spending my money on, like drugs, etc. You also get to learn a lot of science related things from the hobby, and since I'm working on starting a marine tank it puts me in the library a lot, away from the TV and stuff. I don't think fishkeeping is good for really little kids, b/c it can be a handfull sometimes, as I'm sure you all know. But I think it's good for them to help out their parents until they are old enough to do it on his own. And of course the best reason of all, fish tanks just look so cool! HTH
