Well, the bf, who claimed not to care if I started up my beloved tank and then wanted to know what was taking so long, managed to convince me into adding fish about 2 weeks ahead of schedule. The guy at the lfs told us about one of those bacteria intro products when we bought some plants early last week, so I got some of that as well. Now, since the numbers are looking ok, I gave in on 6 tiny Glowlights.

Anyway, now the bf is all enthused. He has decided that he likes the idea of 3 female bettas, rather than one male. ("Maybe we can have a male in the 5g later?" ) And this morning he announced that the fish looked hungry. I had to carefully supervise that, believe me! ("But they still look hungry!" )

Yes, I'd say he's hooked!

I shall have to keep up my monitoring! At least he's willing to learn.... Now, I must be strong and keep him from adding more fish until I'm sure the tank is ready for them!

Maybe this will mean he'll get you fishy presents for your birthday, like a nice big 175 .
