Adam Administrator Posts: 1090 Registered: 25-Jul-2000 | heh, it was the other way round here. It disappeared from the bottom up. I've got a couple of pics of the blood red moon, I just need to find my cable for my camera. |

I tried taking a 5 second exposure, but since I didn't have a tripod it turned out a bit blurry. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

Adam Administrator Posts: 1090 Registered: 25-Jul-2000 | Faster film speed so more noise with a 0.5 second handheld exposure (image stabilised). I was too lazy to use a tripod and get a good long exposure. |

poisonwaffle Mega Fish Posts: 1397 Kudos: 591 Registered: 11-Feb-2003 | Question: how does one even get a camera to focus on the moon? I've tried many times and can't get it to focus at all. I've tried different apertures, exposures, ISOs, focal ranges, etc, etc... can't get anything. Do I need a telephoto lens so I can zoom way in? If so, I suppose I could build a telephoto lens... I built a macro lens, so a telephoto shouldn't be so hard o.O |

poisonwaffle Mega Fish Posts: 1397 Kudos: 591 Registered: 11-Feb-2003 | Tried that'n. Didn't work. Methinks my camera is silly! It's an old Sony Cybershot S-85... was a good camera back in it's heyday... |

Adam Administrator Posts: 1090 Registered: 25-Jul-2000 | Thats definitely your problem. Sony sucks. I used to have an F505V. What a waste of $2300. |
