heh, it was the other way round here. It disappeared from the bottom up. I've got a couple of pics of the blood red moon, I just need to find my cable for my camera.

That's funny.

I'd like to see that picture Adam, my camera wouldn't catch the red moon well. I tried taking a 5 second exposure, but since I didn't have a tripod it turned out a bit blurry.

That's pretty cool, dude!

I've always wanted to see an eclipse, but never have.

I did see the meteor shower a few weeks ago, tho... that was awesome

Faster film speed so more noise with a 0.5 second handheld exposure (image stabilised). I was too lazy to use a tripod and get a good long exposure.

Question: how does one even get a camera to focus on the moon?

I've tried many times and can't get it to focus at all. I've tried different apertures, exposures, ISOs, focal ranges, etc, etc... can't get anything. Do I need a telephoto lens so I can zoom way in?

If so, I suppose I could build a telephoto lens... I built a macro lens, so a telephoto shouldn't be so hard o.O

Tried that'n. Didn't work. Methinks my camera is silly! It's an old Sony Cybershot S-85... was a good camera back in it's heyday...

Thats definitely your problem. Sony sucks. I used to have an F505V. What a waste of $2300.

I've still got an old Mavica... it takes floppies for media It still works pretty well provided I can get my old floppies to work, they're all shot from age.
