	Macrame
trystianity Mega Fish Posts: 1028 Kudos: 926 Votes: 49 Registered: 20-Mar-2004	I'm learning how to make macrame hemp bracelets and necklaces and stuff. . . was just wondering if anyone has any projects I could try out. Or even other crafts you do. . . I'm getting into them to keep me occupied while I sit around doing nothing. Being out of work on medical leave gets really really boring after a while.

Trys - can you do an on-line search for some projects or visit your library. It's been ages since I did any macrame and I made pot hangers (for plants).

The basic bracelet is pretty easy... square knots over two strands, adding beads if you want... I've done some choker necklaces that are square knots (as above), then some diagonal double half hitch, then more square knots. The half hitches make a pattern like this VVVVVVV and you can put a pendant on the middle V. That one isn't hemp, it's rattail. ><>
