Well.
I dont take any responsibilty for this, but my girlfriend decided she would like some Spiny Mice that were for sale from a friend.
*sigh*
After getting the pair of female spiny mice for free, she then spent £60 on a vivarium for them so they could be nicely displayed. I *honestly* thought they were going to go to the polecat ot the snakes, but aparantly they irritate the throats..
*sigh*
Here are some photos, i realise the photos are poor, but they were taken at night with flash

i'm sure even though they're two females now, that eventually they will begin having babies and you will be flooded with mice. that always happens to everyone i've ever known who got what they thought were two female mice

tbh, these things are classed as "rare/exotic" mice, so if they breed we'll be quids in, well, a tenner a go at least.

Aww how cute! Nice set up too! But don't they need a wheel to run in like other rodents?

No rodents need a wheel - in the tiny cage they were kept in they had a wheel, then decided it would make good chewing matter.
They chew that wood - and run all over it. metal wheels are dangerous because they can loose legs and tails in them.
