I've had a Swing200 by KPN, our national phone company, with which my daughter now calls all her friends (imaginary, phew!)
Then I got a (green) Nokia 8210 from my former employer and now I have a (blue)Nokia 6200.

Nokia 6200 with hello kitty sticker, car charger, boom mic headset (not over the head style I do have some fashion sense) due to distracted driving laws in DC, besides the headset makes it easier to talk on the phone while making notes in my palm while driving to work ~~@Kids do not try this at home@~~

I haven't got a home phone line, nor internet, a cell phone was just easier, and made more sense for me to have, I'm never home....besides I've got free roaming and LD. Helps for trips to say new york *pokes tim*

Come on Babel!!! I do the same thing without having the earphone piece...makes driving in Houston traffic really interesting, along with the fact that I'm usually doing 60 and shifting gears on the flyovers...Yep, that's my red ford ranger stay away far, far away...

Calla, it is also my only phone, no home phone, just the cell/handy, it is cheaper than a home phone, and I'm never home anyways...

Anyhows...the phone is a Sanyo Flip Camera Phone of some sort...I like it and it takes pretty good photos, I can't blow them up to 8x10s, or anything, but hey, they make do...Heidi:%)

My phone list is:
Savvy
Nokia 3310
Nokia 3330 (which I lost)
Nokia 3310 (old one which I used while had lost phone)
Nokia 3510i

I am currently lookin for a new phone as mine is buggered, the front cover is off, the buttons are loose, the screen gets blurred, the 7 and * keys don`t work properly and loads more problems with it.

Anyone got any suggestions for a new phone?

Let's see... I started out with an ancient bag phone (no idea make/model), moved to a Nokia 3165, then got my dad's startac and now have my brand new Nextel Motorola i530. I love this phone... I never used to use my cell phone at all, and now I use it all the time.

I'm never at home, so IF someone actually remembers to take a message, it could be ages until I get it. Actually, I never used to use the phone at all. I first got my cell for emergencies only. If I used five minutes a month, that was something to boggle about.

And then I started dating my boyfriend. I use it all the time now. I actually get out of the house now (used to be a homebody and never do anything, now I'm out and about a lot), so if someone needs to get hold of me, that's just the easiest way to do so.

I love Nextel... definitely the best company I've been with. The walkie talkie feature rocks, even if I can't have my text messaging without paying to add on to my plan (used to be able to pay by the message with other companies). Ah well... Most everyone I know has Nextel, and walkie talkie minutes are unlimited, so it's almost as good as texting. And I'm obsessed with ringtones... *plays her Mission Impossible theme song ring*

ohh, ringtones! i need a new one for this silly phone, its still got standard nokia whining, and i need it to really stand out.

Its only mono tho... any good sites?

My brother said there was one that let you do it manually and it was free, some code or something, illegal? caught for ringtone theft? that is kinda cute... LOL sorry, theft isnt funny, i'm just imagining that scene in law and order or something

damn straight... some of us aren't actually enthralled by the mainstream!! Some of us don't have to have 24/7 contact with friends!! Some of us will actually keep living if we don't text message our buddies!! Some of us don't need to pay hundreds of dollars on something that can do all what a pen and paper can do!! Some of us don't need the latest dohickey widget status symbol

Big whoop.

Can't remember the first one. It was analogue, and a brick.
Then came a panasonic that was digital.
That got stolen, so went to a hand-me down motorola.
Then got a nokia 3310 several years ago off my brother (I started a plan, he liked my phone, he got my phone, i got his hand-me-down 3310!).
Now I've upgraded to a treo 600 and i'm totally in love with it! it does everything i want it to do and more! Paid up front, kept my old plan, it now runs my life! Palm, phone, camera, all rolled in one! Can't do without it!

Personally, I would much rather people call me on my mobile than my home. I can't even remember my home number. I can see who's calling me, and I can choose if I want to answer it. If I don't want to talk to them, or it's inconvenient, I have a messagebank. My home line is always connected to the internet, so you can't get through anyway. If you're calling my home number, you're assumed to be a sales person or want to do a survey. Works for me, probably wouldn't work for anyone else, though!

Calla that is the exact same phone i have. My first phone, and it does it's job perfectly. They are hardly little things and can take a beating. I have played hacky sack with it on a few occassions and it has survived the wear and tear with no ill effects.

I love the little torch on it. Even though it is very dull, it does become alot brighter at night and is very useful to blind people.

Nice, cheap, realiable phone. Though it does have a weaker signal than the 3315's.
