My cell phone is always off...so it really serves no purpose...

I actually have a good reason for a cell phone--my parents made me get one after September 11th just in case something happened again...

I have a little Samsung flip phone (cannot remember the actual model number of it).

I would just like to point out about Fallouts comments. I personally dont understand what the problem is with having a mobile phone. Sure, I understand if its ringing off the hook in a nice quite relaxing socible area and people get annoyed, but then again ths is the kind of world we live in. It is the year 2004 and kids now adays want all the latest computers or the lastest gadgets or the most expensive mobile phones to show off to their mates, they are not going to care if they are in a pub, cinema or anywhere, if they want to show off their new lastest mobile or text the most shocking gossip, they will do it anywhere.

The world is changing Fallout and we need to change with it. There is no problem in owning a phone/cell phone either for personal or business use, it what makes the world we live in today.

I must admit and I am guilty, I was one of those silly teanagers who constantly texed my frieds to organise a social event or for the lastest gossip and now at the age of 22 I still do that (evan more I might add). I accept you have your own opinion about mobile phones or may evan HATE them, but at least Fallout, let us youngones have our fun with them!

I got the only one that was free ... salesperson was very disappointed. Anyway, hate it, only got it so I'd feel safer in the car and be able to reach Triple-A if something went wrong. Lost it a few weeks ago, not terrifically sad about that. Stupid thing - never checked my messages, never remembered to bring it anywhere, etc.

I have a mobile phone and I find it very useful and convenient! It's a Nokia something-or-other because I find Nokias the most intuitive and easy to use.

Originally I got it for use in emergencies... calling the Automobile Association, stranded somewhere and calling a friend or a taxi to come & get me, or when someone else has an emergency and needs help from me. I have used it for all those things and it would have been worth the purchase price for one of those examples alone.

But I also find it just frees me up and lets me lead a much more pleasant lifestyle. I'm self-employed, working from home. Having a mobile phone means I can go for a walk in the park in the middle of the day without having to worry about missing important calls from clients. It means I can have client meetings in cafes and not have to rush back to the office in case someone's left me a message. It pages me when someone leaves a message on my land line and allows me to check all my messages remotely.

And besides that I painted it purple and it's very cute
