Mez Ultimate Fish Guru Asian Hardfeather Enthusiast Posts: 3300 Votes: 162 Registered: 23-Feb-2001 | Ha! I got something else, and theres something at my house that is native to north america, that is not permenant unfortunatly! Ok, first one, Amazon tree boa, Corallus hortulanus. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t72/james_meehan/2611.jpg Tasty. http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t72/james_meehan/2611072008.jpg http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t72/james_meehan/2611072007.jpg http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t72/james_meehan/2611072006.jpg And this little guy is Einstein. Wooo..a north american native for some of you guys - however, he has been legally descented so no, "do they smell" . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v111/Trappedme http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v111/Trappedme The tree boa is a bit bitey, but am hoping (unrealistically) that she will calm down when she matures. Most of them don't. Ideally they should be handled as little as possible because everything scares them. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Hope it has a long and healthy life with you. Boas are very skiddish. A couple of friends of mine back in the days rescued a Boa constrictor from the black market, we probably bought it of this fellar for about $10US, it was about the same size as yours. So we went off in a release back in to the wild expedition to the Southern Pacific coast, in the Osa Peninsula and released it in Marenco Biological Station, a privately own reserve in that area. To the date I still hope that boa made it back in the wild, even though she did bite us repeadeately while we were transporting her to the site. Since it was wild caught, it had no place as a pet or in a household and it was best to release it and let her take her own chances. Beautiful animals! Looking forward to more pics. James |

I guess I'd never thought of keeping one as a pet, but I guess it works. I've always had a thing against skunks, as they stink when you (or someone else) run them over with a car o.O I guess he's kinda cute tho... but the claws o.O |
