superlion Mega Fish Posts: 1246 Kudos: 673 Votes: 339 Registered: 27-Sep-2003	The best part of that zoo was the Amazon exhibit. When I went there (about two years ago), the zoo was a mess. There were rats everywhere and the animals didn't seem to be very well cared-for. It may have changed since then, but I doubt it. ><>

Actually, there was quite a controversy about the level of care and even some of the caretakers, but I believe most of the problems have been taken care of, or at least or in the process right now. The animals all looked healthy and the exhibits seemed in good condition! They're even building new exhibits and replacing roofs on old ones.

Every winter I have gone down, it seems as if the exhibits are not maintained well; it was a bit nicer when I went last summer. I live so close to the place I should go more often.
