They're legal to catch so you can use them for fishing bait (that's why you need a fishing license). The law doesn't say that you have to use them as bait, though... It just says for "personal use", which would include keeping them as pets. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

The OP is in Colorado, however... Not that beardies are illegal there either, but she wanted a desert-dweller native to North America (therefore no Bearded Dragons or Leopard Geckos).
