Can not really recall when I have not had an aquarium. I am 27, so it has been at least in the 20-30 year range. Until highschool all I ever kept was angels, eels, and goldies (used to have a nice outdoor pond). I started keeping bettas, various tetras, swordtails, platies, convicts, etc. at that point. It seems no matter what you do though, you never quite feel like you have enough! LOL!

I got my first tank in 1967. There have been a few gaps without tanks since then

Since 1984 so this is my 21st year in the hobby. There is only a few years in there, maybe 3 or 4, where I did not keep fish. I even survived a husband who told me all of the fish had to go. Well guess who went?

umm around 3 years now i think. started with a guppy and a tiger barb in a five gallon, but pretty much hit it of then once i found that tiger barbs aren't good tankmates for guppies i got another 5G, the a 45G, then a 75G, then a 20G. and moved on from guppies and tiger barbs. i however have also been using real plants for the time ive been in the hobby, as i hate fake plants and would only put live plants (yes some were terrestrial or bog plants at first)

I am not counting the goldfish I had as a child, or the 5g tank I had more than 35 years ago.

How long have I been in the hobby? Like I said elsewhere, one of my first memories is when I fell out of bed and cut my head on my fry tank. My mom was breeding fish when i was born and had tanks in my room all the time...I remember actually helping with the feedings and water changes. Then there was a small break for about maybe 5 years...since then it's been fairly constant, i even tried to keep fish when I was in Presidio, where the nearest lfs was 6 hrs away, and I had to top off my 20 long about 4-5 gallons a day due to evaporation, and a few months off after I moved here, but am going hard and steady now, with not thoughts of giving up any time soon

hey, me too!
a pleco, 2 opaline gouramis, and a clown loach. I thought it filled up the 5 gallon nicely.
