Figured the beetle was a ladybird, seemed very similar to my other one. As for the frogs, they were just in the rock area, so that may (or may not) rule out tree frogs. Course Adam tried his very hardest to help ID it. Said it wasn't a cane toad, must be a gum tree ^_^ |

Okay, here's one that landed on me while we were at the lighthouse at byron bay. It landed on my leg and unfortunately this is about the best photo Adam could get. The green isn't as bright in the photo as it was IRL. It was honestly fluorescent. |

From what I've read it seems that it's not common up this way, which explains why I was so blown away by it. I give you the Fiddler Beetle!!! (I'm sure you were were all holding your breaths on that) ^_^ |
