If you happen to be in the Cobleskill, NY area this weekend (SEP 11-12), you are corially invited the CTRA's 10th annual Sport Rocket Launch. We've been granted a standing waiver from the FAA to 8,500 ft.
These are not your typical model rockets. They're a bit larger. Actually a LOT larger!
The range will be open from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day, though we might start a bit later SAT am and shut down a bit earlier SUN pm.
Rt. 7 is the main rod through Cobleskill. Immediately under the RR overpass (by Pizza Hut), take the shrp right onto Banersville Rd. a mile or so down, look for the CTRA sign (with the rocket on it) on the right. It's by the white outbuildings. Take the dirt road across the small bridge and into the field and you're there!
I will be the Launch Control Officer, so I'll be at the range head most of the weekend. If you can make it, be sure to stop and say hello!

YYYEEESSSSS, FINALLY!!!!! I have the ENTIRE weekend off, so i WILL make it there this time!!! Look for the loud red camaro that's bound to get stuck in the field after all this rain

yes yes yes i've been waiting years to get there and meet you wayne It's kinda sad that i live less than 10 minutes away from the launch site and had to work the last two times

Darn I'm too far My brother loves launching those rockets, too bad I'm almost 5 hours away. Have fun guys!
