If you choose "Gradient" as your material and then just tick the "Texture" box you then get textured gradient.
I'm using PSP 8. I hope this helps?

Oh boy, am I dumb I meant combining a gradient with a Pattern. Sorry. For example; if I wanted to throw a camoflage pattern onto an 'object', with a gradient to give it a more 3-dimensional look.

Thanks for the help though. What makes Photoshop superior, Vic?

Figured it out for myself Take an object and fill it with a pattern. Next choose a shade of gray on the pallette; go into your gradient menu(dropdown), and choose fade-background(make sure the foreground color is canceled). Now comes the tricky part(unless the object is geometric). Using the pen tool(freehand)draw completely around the object(make sure you are using a separate layer on top of the original). Then adjust the brightness of the new layer....and there yoo go!

Thanks for everone's responses

Well done
PSP is quite a good program and does virtually everything you want it to do, it just takes some time fiddling around to work it out sometimes that's all
