Here are some photos I just took of a female Rubber Boa I collected last month about 20 miles from my house. She has adapted to captivity extremely well, taking frozen mice a week after I caught her.

I think she probably gave birth last year, because when I found her she was very thin and the skin on the back part of her body was pretty loose. The heavy scarring on the head/body is typical for this species.

Haha, thanks... It's not every day you hear Rubber Boas being described as 'gorgeous'. Many people actually think they're quite ugly, probably because of all the scars. The injuries are from when they raid rodent nests to feed on the babies, and the mother then attacks the snake ceaselessly. Rubber Boas don't bite and are basically defenseless, so they just have to deal with getting bitten. They seem to have adapted by becoming almost impossible to kill, though (look at this scar).
