The only house gecko i would say would be H. mabouia but im still not sure Nat: Most tokays are nasty but lots of people over-emphasise the bite of a tokay..ie "my tokay just ripped my hand off", the most they actually do is rip 'n' twist, but they very rarely draw blood..however, some big males are indeed very capable of this. |

It's a male California Quail that was right next to house feeding on spilled birdseed (I've never seen them there before). The pictures are super-crappy because it's cloudy and the windows are perpetually dirty. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Cockatos are very common here, often just hanging around Not sure what type this is, they're pretty small Lorikeets are also very common, but amazingly hard to spot even when you know they're right in front of you. When I was getting up before dawn I was always spotting them feeding just outside our office window. Cassowary are thankfully not common this far south in australia. Adam showed me this one at dreamworld. This is the only bird I'm scared of. . Of course what is more local to oz than Jellies Roos And Squirrels ermm I mean bearded dragons. More to come. ^_^ |

That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions |
