Laborador retriever

My golden retriever came from a little of seven, but about the same time the breeder had another litter of 14! They had 21 puppies to look after at the same time...

Alice: dogs can have between 8-11 nipples, but usually, yes it is an even number. the average litter size for that kinda dog is around 6-7, but for other types of dogs, it can be bigger. They are all sold already, and the Father was a stud.

and yes, sunflwrgrl Tsu, they do look like little moles

well, as some of you know, My dog (Amber) had some puppies 2 days ago. 11 of them. now 6 is about the average litter for a dog, but she had 11

they still have their eyes closed, an will only open them in about 12 days.

it's kinda hard to get pics of them, and they all look the same, so we mark them with Tip-ex / Twink / White out (whatever u wanna call it) so we can tell them apart. anyway, here are some pics taken yesterday, when they were one day old.

(my pictures hardly ever work, so i'm not going to bother this time, i'll just set up links)

Pip
Flossie
Java
Patience
Turtle
Magic
Rocky
Conker
Mocha
Horace
Truffle

Yea, i hear ya, they all look the same but hey? they're all cute

i'll keep you all updated with more pics as they get older

EDIT: ugh, all the links goto the thumbnail pics of them....not the individual pics

I can't wait to get our puppy! We just bought a Cairn Terrier female puppy but have yet to bring her home with us. She was born June 19th, so it'll be at LEAST August 7th before we get her.

A friend of mine does dog rescue, and she saved this VERY pregnant dog from a junkyard. A couple of days later, the dog gave birth to EIGHTEEN puppies! It was the most she had ever seen in one litter. Naturally, a couple of them had some problems (one even had a club foot), but they all lived shockingly enough. The mother was not even that big of a dog... only around 35-40 pounds. Those are cute puppies. Good luck with all of them.

wait, how does she have 9 nipples? thats not an even number. oh well. they are really cute. what are you gonna do with all of them? where'd you get the dad. I don't think it's unusual for dogs to have that many. My ex-dog was one of 11 as well and all were healthy and such, i don't think the humans even fed them, just the dog. OMG they are adorable. Just think, our hamsters had 14 once (it wasn't planned, the first time we thought that they were babies or same gender and they had 8, i guess that was practice for having 14). Had to donate all 22 but one to LFS

They are chocolate labs, and yea, the mum only has 9 nipples, so my mum, dad and i do shifts through the night to make sure all of them get a feed. we also bottle feed 2 of them occasionally.
