Removing Glue From A Label? | |
Theresa_M Moderator Queen of Zoom Posts: 3649 Kudos: 4280 Votes: 790 Registered: 04-Jan-2004 | A couple years ago we bought a plastic Sterlite dresser (similar to this. It was going into a closet so I wasn't concerned about the sticker/label on the front; just peeled off what I could and left the rest Now I need to use the dresser where it will be out in a room. There is still quite a bit of the glue remaining...is there a relatively easy way to get rid of it? Thanks ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Try WD-40...everyone should have that around. "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder." |

Nail polish remover works, but i'd stay away from it as the chemicals will discolour the plastic. If you're worried about chemicals with your kids and discolouring the plastic, use the peanut butter. Slap it on, let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes and it should come off |

I make some extra money painting apartments and use Goo Gone all the time to remove any stray paint or if the tape gets hot and leaves sticky stuff behind. However while it definitely removes most anything you want be careful if you ever use it on wood since unless the wood is properly varnished or otherwise sealed it lighten it and completely take off any stain that was put on the wood. |
