However, if you're looking for some personal experiences of diving in Lake Malawi, head off to The Cichlid Room]http://www.cichlidae.com/[/link], which has a nice collection of articles. Including [link=this article by the legendary Ad Konings, who has visited Lake Malawi quite frequently (lucky him!) and explored the Cichlid fauna of the lakes in some detail in situ. His accounts of underwater exploration there make riveting reading! There ARE several certified scuba divers on this Board, plus one or two working toward various degrees of certification, one of them recently posted about becoming a certified cave scuba diver. I can't recall the entire name list off the top of my head, but doubtless the resident neoprene and flipper wearers will pop in here and introduce themselves - along with assorted tales of their own underwater frolics. OOPS - that first link is for paid subsrciption articles. However, this page goes into some depth (pardon the pun) about exploring Lake Tanganyika. This one is free. |
