I got banned from the South Park forums.

How? Because my cousin went on and impersonated one of the creators of the show and the administrator of the site! Once she was banned for doing that, she and my sister created new accounts and posted a bunch of inappropriate, immature polls and posts about the administrator. Needless to say, the administrator was very angry and banned them. Now as for how I am tied into this? They did it from my house, so the IP addresses were tracked and she banned me as well!

She is angry at me too, because she thinks I was doing it with them, but I wasn't! I am sending her emails asking to unban me, and I hope it works.

It might not sound like a big deal to you, but this is equivalent to some of you mega FP nuts being banned here for something you didn't do. I had been a member there longer than I have at FishProfiles, and I was one of the oldest members on the site. Everything was ruined in a matter of days.

I can join again, but the administrator will ban me again, giving me even less of a chance of being unbanned.

I'm feeling pretty bad right now.

I would do exactly the same thing if it happened here (and it has happened in the past).

Moral: Keep your password secure. If you share a computer, make sure you log out or choose no to store your password as a cookie.

My password was secure. They were using completely different accounts than me, but I still got banned because all three accounts were using the same IP address. Nothing inappropriate was posted under my account, however.

so then baned your IP?

If she won't unban you, you can ask your ISP to change your IP address. Most ISP's will do it for free (that I know of).

Or you can go to the library or an internet cafe and use their computers on the site

I use AOL (which changes the IP address every time I log on), so it's not that. I can join again if I wanted to, but I would have to completely change who I am on there. I don't want to do that.

If I gave any indication that I was the one who got banned, then I would be gone in an instant.
