As you can all tell by my AV, I love these guys. Never thought about mentioning it on here before, as it never occured to me, till now. I just found out that "Tradewinds" brand tea, contributes to this good cause, so all you ice tea drinkers, drink Tradewinds Teas.

Tradewinds Sweet Tea is amazing. I used to drink it all the time when I was at IU.

They dont sell it here though.

I Manatees. My uncle lived on a "cut" in the keys (trailer park) and they would come by daily. Little buggers loved freshwater. My uncle would drop a hose in the water and they would jam it into their mouths with their flippers and drink, and drink, and drink.....then fart

Everyone of those poor things had corkscrew slice marks from props. It was so sad.

I'll have to get me some of that tea :88)

Manatees hold a special place in my heart too! They are one of the main reasons I want to make a trip to Florida. I will have to look for that brand of tea.

<---Was born and raised in Florida. I've seen and swam with my share of them. I do so love them. I wish more effort was done to make props illegal in the rivers. With todays jet propulsion (water) there really isn't a need for props. This would save SO many of them it isn't even funny. *sniff* It is really tragic, how many of these gentile giants get mowed down by boats.

Tragically, most of these foundations are there to help the sick and the dyeing ones that have already been hit by a boat. Sure they do lobbying to try to change things, but it has been along time since I've heard of any major changes being made. It's a good thing they do and they do NEED our support, but until the law changes nothing is going to stop the needless death of these beautiful animals.

acid i to love manatees. as a matter of fact when we travel on vaction we never come back home without a stuff animal manatee. since my birthday was in december i find it funny b/c for my b-day my sister showed me that same site and she said from now on for my b-day she is adopting a manatee for me.
