I'm in the midst of EMD ([link=emergency medical dispatch]http://www.prioritydispatch.net/Mprotocol.html" style="COLOR: #FFFF00[/link]) training, and shift bids have come and gone, and guess who's the low man on the very short pole? That's right folks, moi!! So i'm training on my day off, having thursday off, working 7a-3p on friday with my supervisor, and that marks the last day i'll be working with someone. I'm 7a-3p sat/sun alone, then start my new shift, straight overnights, 11p-7a on monday. I'll have tuesdays and wednesdays off. I might not be on as much for a bit until i get my new sleep schedule down and find time to do normal stuff. Just a big shake up, completely 180 from the hours i've been working, so it's gonna take some adjustment!

Timm-mmay!

Ouchies, sounds like fun.

Good Luck, I know you'll do fine.

And you know you can always talk to my voicemail when you get bored. ROFL

Hi Tim, the "graveyard shift" or "evening tower" as its called around here is always difficult to get use to. About the time you do, usually its your turn for a different shift.

Good Luck! You will be on a different shift by the time the moon gets full on the 24th....right?

Hey that's what I do every other weekend! (During the week I have a "normal" day schedule for school and then Friday and Saturday nights I work until 6 am) Need any advice just ask... I can tell you now, take a nap before you go and then bring something to snack on to keep you awake.

Hey that's what I do every other weekend!

for a moment I thought you sent pics of your feet to Timmy every other weekend

Good luck Tim, it's good to know there are people like you on the other end of a 911 call.

lol... no, Tim hasn't seen my feet and if he did he'd probably be put off feet forever. Especially in their winter condition (smelly, wrinkley, damp, and linty... and occasionally with plenty of blisters and calluses and parts of calluses... ingrown toenails at all...)

Good luck with the schedule shift, Fallout!

Depends on the time of day, day of the week, weather, what events are going on, etc etc.

Usually the high call times are between 7am-10am or so, then again around 4-7 or 8pm.. GENERALLY.

Mondays, wednesdays, and fridays are high call volume, and with inclement weather or a major gathoring, you'll see volume increase as well.

I'd call 911 if I had any kind of incadent...since that's something I couldn't even look up in the dictionary...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.
