	Snakeheads in AUS
Forever-mango Fish Addict Posts: 611 Kudos: 586 Votes: 35 Registered: 01-Dec-2003	Recently I have discovered a batch of Red Snakeheads that enter the aquarium trade in Sydney. The guy that supply them got busted and i think is in jail...and as I know, these are noxious fish and if caught by fisheries...$10k fine for each fish and can close the aquarium. And only one person in AUS has a license to show one of these fish. So careful buying these...these are categorised as the same family as pirahnas.

lil_mikey69 Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3180 Kudos: 2380 Votes: 1 Registered: 22-Jan-2003	The real problem is that they kill everything in a pond(or what have you), and they can actually walk to the next pond where they decimiate that population as well. There are a wide variety of snakeheads though. I think there are some that are not nearly as bad as others.
