Congrats! Care to share?

How's the leg? mine still hurts a bit, but better and functionally all healed up. Sorry to be off topic, but hadn't heard much on it lately.

matty - mine has limited movement still, can't sit with my legs crossed on the floor for too long, it hurts. Apart from that I can walk, run, ride horses (and come off them) just as well as I did before

as for the photos :

Good, sounds like it's improving. Hopefully the aches will go with time, and we both get full range of movement back. I did go skiing this year for the first time since the accident turned out well.

Those are some really nice pics, and very cute ferrets. Can't wait until I can afford a camera and lens that is able to take pics like that (not saying I can take pics like that....I'm not much of a photographer, but learning).

i've always wondered not only how you kept them from scampering off, but how you got them to sit still long enough to get their pics taken... o_O

Ferrets are apparently rather trainable. I've seen some learn a few basic commands including stay, come, and roll over. They seem rather intelligent and not all that inclined to run off from their human companions but for some reason they are one of the few animals I don't really like. Ferrets and large parrots are probably the only animals I do not want to own.

i've had a ferret, and we were able to train him to do *some* things, but nothing special. they are without a doubt the best pets ever made, if only they had longer lifespans.... but i know for a fact that the one i used to have would have tried his best to run off and play in the grass if i tried to take a shot like that. i think the only way i could've pulled off that type of shot would have been to dig up some tall grass, bring it inside, and hope he sat still long enough to let me take a good pic of him

moondawg :

1. pure luck
2. ferretone
3. pure luck.

out of the 20-odd shots I took, these two were the only keepers. The other shots just never looked good. And there was a third ferret there that would not stay still.

These two were laid back and didn't mind hanging around.

If only for a short time.

The prints will get delivered on april 6th so we'll see what his reaction will be.

Update :

I didn't get pics (too embarrased lol) but when I gave them to him he had brought a friend in to see my guys, so he took them, and loved them.

He's going to put them in his office. Each time he came in he kept telling me how much he liked them. You could also hear him in the corridor of the clinic showing everyone and telling them how good they are.

Even got a kiss on the cheek
