I haven’t worked with a partner, but I have shared an office with my mother. We don’t have the best relationship, we squabble a lot & just have some basic differences of opinion on a lot of things, but we worked together great!
The trick is to leave home at home. Don’t discuss any of your home problems at work (even simple things like “Did you take the garbage out”.) Within the work environment, treat them exactly as you would any other co-worker. Of course you are going to be more friendly/familiar with them, but try to keep it professional (this includes holding off on public displays of affection) and you should be fine

I really think it depends on the couple and how much "together" time would be involved at work. Would you be "reporting" to Rasco? Would Rasco be "reporting to you? Would you have different shifts?
Personally I think couples need space and time apart but not everyone is the same so it really depends how you guys feel about it.
