Subway tv Commercials | |

Add cheese, mayo or other things and it gets shot out the window. Still better than something that is fried in fat i'm sure, but there's always that little catch. |

But yeah, even if you can only really lose weight with those conditions in place it's still a lot better than any other fast food place over here. |

The only way you can do that is to control it for yourself. OK, so a Subway may be a little healthier than a Whopper meal, but it's cheaper, easier, healthier and nicer to just make a good salad Nicoise, Japanese rice salad or even, a healthy well made, yummy sandwich. Subway doesn't teach sustainable healthy eating, it's pointless and will ultimately fail. And the smell is downright offensive! It's like Millie's Cookies - it's a public nuisance!! ------------------------------------------------- I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. Regardless of whether or not his story rings true, they make money from the dude, and that's all that they are required to care about, if you get my drift. And for the record, subway tastes just fine. Anyone who finds it to unrefined for his or her tastes is just a snob. Furthermore, it is quite damnedly expensive. P.S. Quizno's>>>Subway. Just for the record. |

Anyone who finds it to unrefined for his or her tastes is just a snob I've never eaten one, I had to cut yeast out my diet a few years ago after getting a nasty stomach virus, subs make me ill. It's just the SMELL, and I don't think it's snobbish to want to be able to go into town shopping without walking past food shops which stink so bad that they trigger nausea. And it's a fake, piped out smell, which is worse! ------------------------------------------------- I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. Because I don't notice any synthetic piped odours when I walk past. What I DO notice is a smell that reminds me of a decent Italian restaurant. Prices are up there with dedeicated Italian restaurants, however, so if I was going to spend that kind of money on a meal, I'd go to the Italian restaurant and enjoy better value for money, even if the pasta is a major calorie hit. But then, I cycle all over the place. I have to cycle 3 miles each way to pick up the shopping from my supermarkets, so any calories I eat are pretty soon burned up. And before anyone asks, I don't have a car (Heh heh I can already hear the Americans asking themselves "how does he live without a car???" ) so the bicycle is my only form of transport. Recently, for example, I carried home 23 lbs of shopping in my rucksack (during blazing sunshine and 85 degrees or so of heat) so I guess I'm not about to put on significant amounts of weight just yet. |

In my local one 6" sandwidges on their own range from £2-3 ($3.70-5.60 US), i don't think this is too bad, especially seeing as when i was desperate for food this morning i bought a chicken and bacon sandwidge for £2.25 and for the extra 75p i could have got a bigger, healthyer, on nicer bread with salad and sauce aswell. |

I am American and if it was up to me, I too would not own a car. I can't get to work without one though being that I work 16 miles from home and there is no easy way to get here without the highway where bikes and pedestrians are not allowed. I wish I had a Monorail. Or a Teleporter machine... that would be AWESOME!! I also tend to hop in the car and go where it takes me.. NYC, PA, NJ. . . etc... Guess I kinda need one either way, eh? The problem is that so many towns and cities in the US are just not bike and pedestrian friendly. My town is pretty bike friendly, but the public transportation sucks. It takes hours to get anywhere on the bus here. It is so hot in the summer here that if I rode my bike to work I would be so disgusting and sweaty that I would be unfit to do my job. I work as a restaurant manager so I am always around the public. I do ride my bike in the fall and winter though. I am all about monorails. It would be so cool if the US could have some kind of national monorail system. They have a limited monorail in Jacksonville and it is very useful. Just my opinon, no meat should be reconsituted. I think that all meat processed in that way tastes strange. I am not ashamed to admit that I am a food snob. Subway is kind of expensive for what you get. You could make way better at home. Honestly our local grocery store chain has a deli and makes great subs with Boars Head meats and cheeses so I only ever get subs there. - Meow - |
