What is Chemistry CHM5C? Is it hard easy inbetween? Or if you want to be really helpfull you could tell me what that is in NSW talk.

Same for Mathematics Applied MAP5C?

The reason i ask is because im choosing subjects for years 11 and 12. Got a pack from UTAS with the course info, unfortunatly all the course levels are in Tasmanian.

And whats TER 58.00. Im assuming that is the same as our UAI right?

Thanks

Matt

oooh Ar, I guess it's kind of to me to answer that one as there are only 2 Tassieites on here (as far as I know, prove me wrong). I have no idea about the Chem one, but I could find out for you if you like. The maths one is not a pre tertiary, or at least it wasn't when I did it, Maths Applied was the hardest you could do before it became a pre tertiary. I did have a bit of trouble but I think that is because I did it 4 years after doing any other maths. If I had done it straight after doing maths the previous year I don't think I would have had much trouble at all. It covers Algebra, probablity, geometry, the sine, cosine, tangent and that sort of thing, umm, interest and that sort of thing, I can't remember much else at the moment, but if you want to ask questions I will do my best. The C in the code just refers to it being a 150 hr course, thats for both of them.

The score is a bit different I think, each pre tertiary is marked out of 20, and depending on SA, HA, OA you get a certain ammount of points, of course, the more the better.

I hope it helps somewhat, but as I said, if you need more info let me know and I will see what I can find out for you.

Claire.

Eeek, I'm really sorry Aussie Bloke, it completely slipped my mind.

I had a look and found these pages for you though;
http://www.clare.tased.edu.au/pages/subjects/maths.html
http://www.clare.tased.edu.au/pages/subjects/science.html

They don't seem to have the same coutse code as you had for Chamistry, but I believe it would be the same subject.

If that doesnt give what you were after let me know, email me or something, I dont come here as often as I used to but I do check my email daily. So give me an email to remind me on Sunday night if you can and I will get on to it on Monday. I'm so sorry.
Claire.
