Too Much Of One Thing | |
bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004 | another health question. i get very attracted to things if you would put it that way. i drink only ginger ale and yellow gatorade and once and while water. How much of one thing is too much and what problems can it cause. I use to have yellow gatorade, 1 bottle every day for 3 years. I heard that it can be alittle damaging but i seem to be addicted to it. So how much is too much, is 1 a day ok, and what can it do long term. |

I never had any problems from it, despite drinking at least two 32-ounce bottles of it every day. Now I drink more stuff (mostly teas and fruit juices), but I still don't drink any water. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

The amount of sugar makes me sick when I'm out working and bottled water also makes me sick from electrolyte imbalances. Instead I've been flavoring water with things like crystal light or making my own mix. There are recipes for "sports drinks" all over the internet. Some aren't bad, some are still too high in sugar, and some are absolutely horrible. You just have to try them until you find something you like. Lemonade or limeade is also good if it doesn't have too much sugar added. A little citric acid really prevents me from feeling sick when I'm out in the heat. It's usually part of good sports drink recipes. |
