Thats SO not U2

U2 has decent lyrics, Vertigo is utter garbage IMO, cookie cutter song.

Doedogg,

Can't say I know of a Jaqueline Whelan. But then it's been 10 years since I lived full time in Ireland. Still have my house there but only only get back once or twice a year so I'm way out of touch with the current scene.

It doesnt matter if U2's rock or not:%)

All that matters is that they are better then any band out there today. Blink, however, is tired and unoriginal.

Bensaf that almost makes up for the pom poms!

Closest brush for me would have to be the uni trip I took to ireland one summer ...we were going south from dublin and our tour bus had to wait for a long time while other traffic went around a really sharp turn...just so happened that it was outside bono's house :%).

Babel,
As you know I'm Irish, Dublin born and bred. Northside scanger and proud of it. I'm 2 years younger then Bono. I grew up close to his part of town. I remember in the lates 70's early 80's going to a place in Dublin called the Dandelion Market which was a weekend flea market, only place to go then if you wanted hip clothes or music (I was cool young thing back then). There was a bunch of spotty teenagers, with a punk thing going on, - U2.
A few years later I was managing a band in Dublin, who managed to get a support gig for Maria McKee (anybody rember her?) she was living in Dublin and pals with the mighty U2 (they were now mega stars). Anyway the lads showed up after the gig to Maria out for a few pints. Taking pity on my sorry bunch of no hopers they invited us a long.So yeah I had a few beers with U2. Buggers kept taking our drinks though, we were broke , they were rich, but we seemed to be the only ones getting a round in. It's another story, put managed to make a complete prat of myself in front of Bono which goes down as one of my more embarassing moments. Nice lads, Bono wnt tru a bit of a sanctamonious prat stage, but getting back to shagging supermodels fixed that right up

If your ever back in Dublin I'll take you down to The Kitchen or The Clarence Tea Rooms which are 2 places U2 own and usually hang about in when they're in town. (My best mates dad is head barman in The Clarence )

BTW, haven't heard the song yet. Bet it rocks though......c'mon it's U2

i was pretty sure that this song was playing outside on my neighbor's porch, but since I can't legally be within 30 feet of their house anymore, I looked out the window and all i saw was a drunken couple throwing trash cans around the yard.

Sorry, but I quite enjoy it. Rock is not my thing (folk is, it's a very sad disorder ) but I smile and bounce when that commercial comes on.

Voted for: Who's U2

didn't they used to make actual music instead of commercials 10 or so years ago? i seem to remember hearing about some songs of theirs back before they became famous
