I don't think they are dangerous in small amounts, but probably are if large quantities were ingested. I don't know about Aquasafe, but Prime contains sulfur.

I would call your vet just to be safe. It does say to keep out of the reach of children so there may be something in there that could be toxic if a large quantity was ingested. The ASPCA has a poison control center, 888) 426-4435 but they may charge you.

Yep, dggie poison control is $50 per call. LOL I had to call when I caught my dog eating cigarrette butts.

Labs are so stupid to be such smart dogs.

How's your dog doing. I wouldn't think Aquasafe would be dangerous.

INGREDIENTS

Sodium Hydroxymethane Sulfinate , Polyvinyl Pyrollidones , Organic Hydrocolloids , Organic Chelating Compounds

It isn't going to be all that good for him, how long ago did he eat it? How much did he get down do you think?

If it was more than an hour ago, I don't know what can be done short of watching him like a hawk. I'd call the vet if you can, but if you can't get hold of anyone, i'd be tempted to try to dilute it at least.

Also, and I know this for a FACT, (after my $50 phone call with the doggie poison control) to induce vomiting in a dog you give 1 TABLEspoon of Hydrogen Peroxide (stuff in brown bottle) per every 10 pounds of body weight and stand back.

I didn't have enough on hand (would have needed 6 tablespoons) the night my dog was caught scarfing down Camel Lights, and I just had to watch her really close. Give the vet a call if you want to save money. If they tell you to induce vomiting then you've saved $50 and H2O2 is cheap. My problem occurred late at night and no vets were available. Good luck.

Supersaturated salt solution also works if you are short on fun chemicals But vomiting has a limited timeframe in which it can work, so you have to be quick.

are you sure it's 1 tblspn per 10 lbs? my ex and I had to induce vomiting when she accidentally dropped prescription pills on the floor and her dog ate one. they told us to induce vomiting with 1 tbsp of Hydrogen peroxide but never said anything about his weight. he weighed 45 lbs and the 1 tbsp did the trick.

Yeah, they told me 1 tbsp per 10 pounds. I would have done it, but I didn't have that much peroxide on hand. Dang, if I would have known that it would have worked with less I would have tried it......I had to stay up all night that night and watch her...
