Well, you know those old "grus" you see on tv that claim they can move people with their mind,and frequntly show demos of pushing people 20 feet across the room and the rest..
Well, some old guru bet $5000 he could beat any MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Someone accepted.

His ki is strong but his kiaijutsu needs a little work.

Seriously it's stuff like that which makes people scoff at martial arts based more on concepts like ki and controlling your opponents movements and balance versus striking arts. I have seen aikidoka who put their body behind a movement so perfectly and with such balance that they hardly appeared to touch the person. While their uke(training partner) goes flying across the dojo. It's impressive but not mysterious or unexplainable and while they can make their students jump from across the room that's more like a parlor trick. It just shows how in tune the students are to their teacher not how good a particular technique is.

yep, simple as it is, they dont teach you to defend with blocks/counter, they train to block it with their mind.
