I do write but not fiction/stories. I create gem essences and write the information that goes with those and any associated materials. But not stories or the like.

I am a voracious reader and love words and word-play. (scrabble anyone?)

Gem essences are the cousins of; Flower essences, Alaskan essences etc. It is a form of vibrational healing. The energetic properties of the stones are used for assisting the body and soul to heal/grow.

PM me if you like. Never know you may get some info you could incorporate into your own writing, even if you treat what I do as *fiction* as it is somewhat unusual.

An extinguish! that is too funny!

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

I'm writing a book that turned into a trilogy without my consent. I've written a couple plays and a dozen or so songs,(Just the lyrics.)

I have yet to be published but then I havn't submitted anything to an agent or publisher yet. I'm definitely going to get the book in print. (Think positive!)

Thanks, Mike

MikeR, are you a writer? Are you writing a piece that requires the name of a male Dragon? Just interested.

If you are a writer, good luck with your writing, may your pencil always be sharp and your mind sharper.

All the best...

I think that dragons tend to horde their goodies that they amass from pilaging towns with lots of peasants in brown hoodies that live in thatched roof cottages. These Thatched roof cotteges tend to catch on fire easily, adding to the chaos that tracks the dragon/feind/sire/wyrm/overgrown lizard wherever he prowls. BURNINATION ensues. Then the beast will collect his new found wealth and full belly back to the hole he's made himself deep in a mountain, only to make himself a bed on the gold and jewels he has amounted over the centuries and fall asleep. See that wisp of smoke arise from that peak over there? No that's not volcanic activity, that is the acidic smoke that bellows from the lungs of the snoring giant.

Mike

EDIT: All I had to do was read, I missed the geriatric. You played off flame and conflagration.

Troy, Didn't mean to ignore you. Collective nouns are sometimes a little off the wall, Crash of rhinocerouses (sp)
Murder of crows, that sort of thing.

2nd EDIT: Exaultation of larks

Is there a collective for tham at all? ... Dragons are predominantly solitary creatures... they usually only come together to mate...

Kegan (Celtic male namime meaning fiery) is a great name for a dragon, but not your kind of dragon....my kind of dragon that's fun to play with and doesn't burn socks . A young dragon that is willing to play and scare the locals, and play hide and seek and take naps curled up ontop of a mountain somewhere...

Definitely not a gaggle of dragons. Flame sounds good, or how about a conflagration of dragons.

A "flame" of dragons?

a bastard sword?

maybe thats the name of a male dragon...Drake sounds right though.

A wyrm is a dragon with no wings and a wyvern is a dragon with one pair of legs.

You mean the Devil Duck on the dash that followed you after visiting the overnight guy accross the hall? He doesn't scare me.

Mike

EDIT: But then I don't wear small, delicate garments. It's not that I've never been asked to, I just don't think I'd look good in them.

you've never seen my duck then have you he's about as dangerous as the dragon around small delicate articles of clothing
