Ok I saw what I think is a pretty good deal on 3 different tanks today (some of ya'll were in the chat room earlier when I mentioned them) What does everyone think? All of them come with the tank, stand (solid wood), hood, and filter. They would all go in the living room if I get one of them) All money is USD.

55 gallon ($179)...If I got this one, I believe I would plant it with lots of [link=microsword]http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=805" style="COLOR: #C0C0FF[/link] and other plants. I would use it as a grow out tank for my guppies, thus when they have grown out, keep what I really like and sale back most of them.

100 gallon ($299)...Don't know what the heck I would do with it...But, dang doesn't it sound enticing?

120 gallon ($349)...Again don't know what I would do with it...but is terribly tempting...

Now for some facts about me, my tanks, experience, and likes....

I currently have a 29 gallon full of guppies and fry (minus 20 that I sold back today), 2 large neons (who think they are guppies), and one 6-7 inch pleco (soon to go to the same lfs where I sold the guppies) This tank is in the bedroom...resulting fry would go to the 55 gallon....[link=guppy tank]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/51922.html" style="COLOR: #C0C0FF[/link] I've added some plants around the "fake log" thanks Janna since it was taken...

1 ten gallon at school, currently empty besides snails...goldies got sold back to lfs b/c well, I'm not stupid and they had outgrown their 1/2 inch size...when we go back to school on the 3rd I plan on putting some guppies in it...kids should like it, and they love the tank...

Last but not least my 55 gallon with the 15 Mbuna Cichlids in it...brown gravel and about 100-120 lbs of Texas Holey Rock, probably gonna add black background really soon. [link=current picture]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Malawi%20Cichlids/52158.html?200412292258" style="COLOR: #C0C0FF[/link]

Those are the current tanks...

I have had Goldfish and love their personalities...love the neons, and won't get rid of them...wouldn't mind some corries, not ready to go into saltwater (scared and perpetually broke especially after getting a new tank) I've had platties, and enjoy them...wouldn't mind venturing out to Endler's LiveBearers, but heck am NOT gonna put them in with guppies...Have had Angels, and not sure if I want one of them again...what else? Will not get Tetra Black Skirts (I think that's what they are called) they are demonic...so folks what do you think?

My only thought is if I get bigger than a 55, putting the cichlids in the larger tank, and keeping the 55 as a grow out tank....Don't know...Keep in mind it is a big WHAT IF...but is worth seriously thinking about, as I will be getting another tank in the next 2 months or so....So I might as well start the planning, right?

Heidi

Go for the biggest, you will only regret not going for it when you are fully stocked and still want more fish!
