I have to say, this is quite possibly the most random post I've ever read.

From the tone of your rant, it would seem that you have a less than stellar opinion of your mom. Since none of us know your mom personally, and it is quite clear that you have a bias towards her, our opinions wouldn't be objective at all. I'm sure she has a side to the story as well that might cast you and your father in a less than flattering light.

Furthermore, why are you even asking our opinions? Do you want our blessing because you seem to hate your mother? Are you seeking affirmation for the state of your relationship?

Well, since you asked for it, here is my opinion of your mother: Sure, it seems as though she may be a pain sometimes. Honestly, what child doesn't feel that about their parents at some point? But, I feel sorry for her because she has a son that feels the need to try to get members of an online forum to which he belongs to support his feelings about his mother so he can rationalize his decision to not attempt to improve the base problem: the relationship with your mother.

You have every right to feel those things about your mother. That is your choice. But, when you try to get others to condone such actions, it makes it sound as if you are trying to convince yourself that your mother is a bad person, not us.

This post might have been better recieved if you had shown some inkling of wanting to improve the situation. Ask for tips, or personal stories, anything. But, since the sole purpose seems to be bad-talking your mother, this post will probably be frowned upon rather harshly.

If your objective was to get sympathy by trashing your mother, I fear you have come to the wrong place.

I know it was probably very cathartic to get all that off your chest, but please do try and understand that it would seem from your post as if you are making no effort to correct the situation, and this is just an anti-mother harangue. So, if you have not done so, please do make an attempt to better things with your mother.

If your Dad was soaking wet from getting out of the shower and it appeared your Mom wasn't coming immediately with the towels (or for that matter why didn't your Dad get them prior to hopping in the shower himself) why didn't you get up and go get them for him instead of fueling the flames between your Mom and your Dad.

This statement is completely disgraceful. You should be more than ashamed of yourself.

I understand if you have problems with your Mom but airing this kind of talk about one of your parents is a pretty low thing to do. I don't care if it is the truth. You just should never do it. You are talking about the woman who brought you into the world, changed your crappy diapers and made sure you were fed.

There are always two sides to every story. I am sure that maybe, just maybe, your Mom may have some issues. I am also sure that maybe Mom isn't in the best of situations herself. How can someone have such a total lack of respect and understanding for their own Mother? Read your words Dojo.

Don't be so quick to call your Mom names and trash her the way you are. The day will come when you are raising children yourself and God forbid you do something that they may treat you this way in front of others.

I dont like bashing people when they have no chance at defending themselves. From what you told us she doesn't seem like a good person, but that isn't the story of her life.

bad eyes? that's ok.

She's 44 and has graying hair, wrinkles, and bads around her eyes. You wouldn't think she looks even okay.
