Here are some pictures of my snakes... I took the picture of the Goini King right after I got him... He's a bit fatter now. And the Rosy Boa is now eating hoppers rather than pinkies. bananacoladafuze Enthusiast Posts: 170 Kudos: 147 Votes: 19 Registered: 20-Mar-2005 | Natalie, that's a nice snake. There aren't many nonvenomous snakes that stay under 10' that I don't want to keep. I just don't make enough money to keep all of them at once. They aren't cornsnakes. Vivid reptiles is the only place I've been able to find me ______________ Cake or death? |

Natalie Ultimate Fish Guru Apolay Wayyioy Posts: 4499 Kudos: 3730 Votes: 348 Registered: 01-Feb-2003 | Yeah, I tried that before. A couple years ago when I was hiking in the middle of winter (and it was raining and like 50 degrees), I found a baby Pacific Gophersnake in the middle of a trail in a meadow. Figuring it was just going to die if I left it there, I brought it home and tried to keep it. Once it warmed up though, it turned into a little monster... It would start striking against the glass if it even saw anyone in the same room. I fed it a couple times and just released it once it got warm enough outside. I've read that any wild Pituophis are extremely hard to tame (or, rather, habituate to human contact), even if caught as babies. Also, they get like seven feet long. If you want Pit as a pet, get a captive bred one. Even then though, it is still likely you're going to have to deal with some attitude issues. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

poisonwaffle Mega Fish Posts: 1397 Kudos: 591 Registered: 11-Feb-2003 | I used to have a Ring-Neck Snake (named Fluffy)... Natalie ID'd it for me... He died a while back, tho... He just stopped eating. He'd kill his food, but he refused to eat it. I tried all kinds of different stuff My girlfriend has a Ball Python (named Gimmli) that's pretty fun. When we get our own place we want to get another big snake... maybe a burmese python or a boa of some sort... not sure yet. We'll probably have a snake room and a fish room |

poisonwaffle Mega Fish Posts: 1397 Kudos: 591 Registered: 11-Feb-2003 | No, I didn't. I don't really know that much about snakes, you see. I did do some research, but I don't think I did enough. I know my fish stuff, but not my snake stuff o.O Temp was around 65F, btw. And s/he was in the dark... no light at all... |
