Just wondering, as I have no knowledge ba Here are the venomous snake laws in California: All members of Colubridae (rear-ranged snakes) are legal for trade without restrictions, with the exceptions of Boomslangs and Twig Snakes. All members of Elapidae (front-fanged snakes) are illegal for trade. All members of Viperidae (true vipers) are illegal for trade. All members of Crotalidae (pit vipers) are illegal for trade, with the exception of non-protected species native to California (Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes, etc). You can get a permit to keep prohibited snakes, but I hear it's extremely difficult and you pretty much need to be running a zoo or reptile museum or something along those lines to get one. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

I don't know if you can get them in the UK, but they are awesome snakes. Southern Hognoses are also really nice, but it's hard to get them to eat anything but toads. Here's what the Tricolor Hognoses look like: http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=6&de=475600 Hognoses in general are really awesome snakes. Most people don't realize that they're venomous though, and never find out because it's hard to get them to bite anything besides their food. Not that they're dangerous, however... Unless you're allergic to the venom, the worst you'll get is some nasty swelling in your arm. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |
