I can tell you right now that martial arts will cure whatever ails you! Except for martial arts injuries... they won't cure those... LOL. Seriously. Works great for depression, I know that much from personal experience!

"But why is the rum gone?"
Actually, our dojang is doing a skit next year, we're thinking a pirate theme... using mops as long staffs... any storyline ideas? Has to demonstrate morals and stuff...

It's a known fact that ninjas are easily killed by pirates.

I've studied Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, and now T'ai Chi and was always tried to copy any Kung Fu move I've seen. I love one staff or two, and one pair or two of nunchuku, although I'm a bit sloppy in all 3 lol.. I'm a pacifist though.. Just love Martial Arts though.

For Martial Arts related injuries: Learn Taoist healing arts which includes moxibustion, accupressure, herbal medicines etc and throw in ice and stretching.

haha yeah I love both of those movies. Jackie Chan is hysterical, and his outtakes are the best too, like in ShangHai Knights:
"thats my baby sitter" translates to "thats my baby sister"

thaiboxing rools ok!

i like to watch the film 'kickboxer', but purely on a cheesey/entertainment value.. if it was 'real life', van damme the ballet dancer would totally get his head demolished by the thaiboxer.

Random question... I'm a yellow belt in Sun Hang Do. I love it to pieces (and as soon as my shoulder is healed I'm jumpin' right back in!) anyways who else loves this?

Also, what are your fave kung fu movies! Just a random topic from a lonely girl...

Ok now I know all this, that's the LAST time I challenge Billy to a fight. But makes me feel a little less pathetic that I lost. Repeatedly.

In case you haven't guessed, I'm not into martial arts. I thought it was a style of watercolour painting...

Very cool! Yah, I've only had a wee bit o' sword training myself, from a friend with 10 years experience. What's really fun is he'll throw random weapons into the mix; ie come at you with bo or two short swords or something like that... Or, you have to defend against sword empty handed, that's fun, as it incorporates the martial arts, too!

I've shot some competition archery (longbow class), and the barest minimum of sword training.

Yep, I know what sai are. My best friend (a blackbelt/instructor in Sunhangdo) got a gorgeous pair of sai for christmas from her boyfriend... She gave him a pair of hook swords! Maybe I need a boyfriend lol! I do enjoy bo, as well as short sticks, and would love to learn tonfa and middle stick (have only done a little bit) as well as kendo...

I'm a second-degree brown belt in Yoshukai, a red belt in Tae-Kwon-Do American, and a weapons expert, especially with sais and a bo (or two pieces of pipe and a broom handle). And for those of you wondering what those are, think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...Donatello used a bo, Raphael used sais

Sure Shanghai Knights counts! Jackie Chan is hilarious! Shanghai noon is better though.

Okay, so how many people do other combat related stuff, ie archery, or sword fighting (one of my favorites!!!) Just throwing out random questions here!
