I do want to mention a wonderful wonderful organization that helps homeless pets. Best Friends Animal Society (www.bestfriends.org). Please check them out when you have a chance if you are into helping homeless pets. They also need volunteers and some folks use that as their vacation time. From the sounds of it, some "animal loving" kids would rather work there for vacation than other various forms of entertainment.

I was told about this news report on a doggy list I'm on and it's brought me to tears.....
