This species of frog Ive been familiar with for a long time now, since Ive been seeing them around the house for more than 10 years now. I do believe its a Centrolenela colymbiphylum, member of the centrolenidae family. Heres a link to some Costa Rican species of the Southern Pacific Coast, in Corcovado National Park Hope you enjoy the pics. James |

Down here we have Toads, Bufo marinus, that cause the ocational death of dogs that eat them or lick too much of them. Apparently they excrete a milk like substance through the skin that proves toxic for small pets or animals. Your cats are probably too smart to go for them as food source but its never hurt to be safe. Thanks for your post, James |

Is that the veins I can see or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Here in australia there is the cane toad. From what I've been told of the history of them they were imported ( ) to eat insects (or something) on the sugar cane crops to help protect them. Instead they ate the sugar cane, and multiplied like mad, and will poison anything that tries to eat them. Family pets included. ^_^ |
